AJ Ferrari, a decorated heavyweight wrestler, has concluded his tenure with the Nebraska Huskers and entered the transfer portal. His collegiate journey has been far from ordinary, marked by numerous controversies and transfers since 2021.
Ferrari's career has been punctuated by legal issues, including a felony sexual battery charge dismissed in August 2023 and an arrest for allegedly evading law enforcement. He also faced an incident at Iowa where he was removed from the program after an altercation.
Despite the turbulence, Ferrari earned All-American honors with a sixth-place finish at the NCAA Championships this past season. He is currently seeking an NCAA waiver for an additional season of eligibility, which would allow him to continue wrestling collegiately.
