Afghanistan Cricket has appointed Richard Pybus as their new head coach. This change comes as Jonathan Trott's tenure has concluded following the team's exit from the Men's T20 World Cup group stage. Afghanistan failed to advance to the Super 8 after suffering defeats to New Zealand and South Africa.
Pybus will integrate with the Afghanistan squad in preparation for their upcoming white-ball series against Sri Lanka. The tour is scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates, starting with a three-match T20I series in Sharjah on March 13. This will be followed by a three-match ODI series in Dubai, beginning March 20.
