AEW star Komander has been absent from the promotion's programming since the beginning of September. Wrestling Observer Newsletter editor Dave Meltzer provided an update, confirming that Komander is currently dealing with an unspecified injury. Despite the setback, there is optimism within AEW regarding the luchador's potential return to action in the near future.
Komander's last televised appearance for AEW was a match against Nick Wayne on an episode of "AEW Collision." Prior to this, he competed in the Casino Gauntlet match at AEW All In London. His most recent in-ring activity occurred in September with matches for CMLL.
These included a bout for the CMLL World Welterweight Championship and a tag team match alongside ROH World Champion Bandido. Komander made his AEW debut in March 2023 without a contract, subsequently signing with the company the following month after his release from Kaoz Lucha Libre, amidst reports of prior interest from WWE.
