26 Nov
Summary
- Adrian Peterson allowed travel for Thanksgiving despite recent DWI arrest.
- Court granted Peterson permission to visit family in Oklahoma for holiday.
- Peterson faces upcoming court hearing for October DWI and weapon charges.

Former All-Pro running back Adrian Peterson has been granted permission to travel to Oklahoma for Thanksgiving, a month after his DWI and weapon arrest in Texas. His lawyer successfully petitioned the court, allowing him to spend the holiday with family from November 23 to December 1. This travel permission came with conditions, including maintaining clean behavior and surrendering firearms.
Peterson's legal troubles include an October arrest for DWI and unlawful weapon carrying, following a similar incident in Minnesota. In the Texas incident, he was found asleep at the wheel of an SUV. He also previously faced charges in Minnesota after being stopped for speeding, with a subsequent breathalyzer indicating a .14 BAC.
His court-ordered release requires him to stay clear of illegal drugs and submit to random testing. The legal proceedings continue, with his next court hearing for the October arrest scheduled for January. Peterson was also permitted travel to Las Vegas for work obligations prior to the Thanksgiving trip.
