Adesanya Faces Career Crossroads

25 Mar

Summary

Adesanya competes for first time in over a year.
He aims to end a career-worst three-fight losing streak.
Turning 37 in July, time is short for a comeback.

Israel Adesanya is set to compete for the first time in over a year this Saturday. The former two-time UFC middleweight champion, currently holding the No. 7 spot in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings, aims to end a career-worst streak of three consecutive losses. He faces Joe Pyfer, and Adesanya is considered a slight favorite.

An unexpected defeat against Pyfer could cast significant doubt on Adesanya's future in the sport. With his 37th birthday approaching in July, 'The Last Stylebender' has a limited window to turn his career around and re-establish his dominance in the middleweight division.
