Adele Nicoll Makes History in GB Bobsleigh First

Adele Nicoll will achieve a historic milestone at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina, becoming the first British woman to compete in the monobob event. The 29-year-old from Welshpool was named in the Team GB squad.
Nicoll, who was a travelling reserve for the two-woman bobsleigh in Beijing 2022, will also pilot that event in Italy. She will be joined by former GB sprinter Ashleigh Nelson.
In total, six British athletes will compete in bobsleigh. Brad Hall and Taylor Lawrence will participate in the two-man event, with Leon Greenwood and Greg Cackett joining for the four-man competition.
