Adam Reach: From Contractless to Lincoln's Star

Adam Reach's career has seen a dramatic turnaround, highlighted by his Sky Bet League One Goal of the Month award for December for a spectacular volley while playing for Lincoln. His journey included a challenging seven-month spell as a free agent after his contract with West Brom expired in June 2024.

During this period, Reach experienced the difficulties of being without a club, training mostly alone and missing the routine of professional football. This time also allowed for physical recovery and a mental reset, reigniting his passion for the game.

An opportunity arose on February 3, 2025, when he signed a short-term deal with Wycombe, helping them reach the League One play-offs. Following another stint at PFA pre-season, Reach joined Lincoln on September 1, 2025. His impressive performances, including four goals and three assists from left-back, prompted Lincoln to trigger a one-year contract extension by January 26, 2026.

Now 32, Reach feels settled at Lincoln and is a key player in their promotion bid. The team is on a 14-game unbeaten run and competing for the League One title. Reach expressed his confidence in the squad's ability to compete in the Championship should they achieve promotion, a feat that would be historic for the club.
