Norwegian Coach Horneland Eyed by Aberdeen

Eirik Horneland is a prominent contender for the Aberdeen manager's job. The 50-year-old Norwegian is available after concluding his role as head coach at Saint-Etienne just last week. Prior to his two-year stint in France, Horneland enjoyed a successful three-year period managing SK Brann in his native Norway.

During his time at Brann, the team achieved promotion to the top division, secured a notable second-place finish, and won the Norwegian Cup. Horneland also has experience managing other Norwegian clubs, including Rosenborg and Haugesund. Aberdeen is now entering the final stages of its process to appoint a new manager, following the dismissal of Jimmy Thelin last month.
