Unbeaten Irish boxer Aaron McKenna is setting his sights on Britain's top fighters, including Hamzah Sheeraz, after securing a career-defining victory over former world champion Liam Smith. McKenna delivered a dominant performance in his last bout, flooring Smith at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Inspired by the career trajectory of champions like Terence Crawford and the ambition of figures like Turki Al-Sheikh, McKenna expressed his desire to move up in weight and challenge the best. McKenna is confident he can replicate the success of Irish boxing legend Steve Collins, who famously defeated British rivals Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn. He views a potential bout against Sheeraz as an exciting challenge, stating his intention to earn a world title shot by 2026.
