On November 15, 2025, the Hawaii basketball team delivered a decisive victory over Manhattan in the second round of the Outrigger Rainbow Classic. Isaac "Big Fish" Johnson, a 7-foot transfer from Utah State, led the charge with 25 points, including 20 in the second half.
Johnson celebrated his four 3-point shots with his signature "Big Fish Chomp" gesture. He also contributed two powerful dunks, one off an Isaac Finlinson missed jumper and another from an Isaiah Kerr lob. Finlinson added 14 points, with 11 coming after halftime.
The Rainbow Warriors took a 38-24 lead into the intermission, thanks in part to Dre Bullock's aggressive defense and 3-point shooting. The Jaspers struggled, missing several layups and low-post shots in the first half.
In the other game, Utah Tech defeated Mississippi Valley State 81-75 in a double-overtime thriller. Forward Ethan Potter scored all eight of Utah Tech's points in the second overtime to help the Blazers even their record in the three-game tournament.
