49ers WR Aiyuk Faces Warrant for Speeding Video
3 Jun
Summary
- An arrest warrant was issued for Brandon Aiyuk over a speeding video.
- The misdemeanor charge stems from a video Aiyuk posted in December 2025.
- Aiyuk is on the reserve/left squad list and his future with the 49ers is uncertain.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk is reportedly facing an arrest warrant in Northern California. The warrant is for a misdemeanor charge of exhibition of speed, stemming from a video Aiyuk himself posted to YouTube in December 2025. In the footage, Aiyuk's speedometer showed him traveling over 100 mph past Levi's Stadium.
Following public backlash over the dangerous stunt, Aiyuk issued an apology on social media, promising to avoid similar content in the future. However, the Santa Clara Police Department investigated the video, and the case was forwarded to the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office on January 15, leading to the recent warrant issuance.
This legal issue comes as Aiyuk's relationship with the 49ers appears strained. He suffered ACL and MCL tears in October 2024 and was placed on the reserve/left squad list in December 2024. General manager John Lynch indicated in January that Aiyuk has likely played his last game for the team, and efforts to find a trade partner have so far been unsuccessful.
