Shanahan Injured: Broken Nose, Ribs in Wreck

San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan recently experienced a significant car accident near his northern California home. He sustained multiple non-life-threatening injuries, including a broken nose, three fractured ribs, and a severe concussion. The collision also resulted in a hand injury that required over 40 stitches to his face.

The team confirmed Shanahan's injuries and stated he will participate in training camp activities on a limited basis. Assistant Head Coach Chris Foerster and other coordinators will manage head coach responsibilities during his recovery period. The accident occurred without the involvement of drugs or alcohol, and no citations were issued.
