A Czechoslovakian wolfdog made an unexpected appearance at the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics on February 18th. The canine was filmed near the finish line of the women's cross-country skiing team sprint free race, enthusiastically trying to keep up with the competitors.
Though not an official participant, the dog successfully crossed the finish line before interacting with the understandably confused athletes. Croatian skier Tena Hadzic reported her initial disbelief, questioning if she was hallucinating and concerned about the animal's presence. Argentinian skier Nahiara Díaz González, focused on her race, noted the dog's evident excitement at finishing.
