Cricket Legends Invited to Historic 150th Test Anniversary

Cricket Australia is set to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Test cricket with a series of special events. The festivities will center around a unique day-night Test match between traditional rivals Australia and England, scheduled to take place at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground. This commemorative match, set for March 11 to 15 next year, draws a direct line back to the very first Test ever played, which also featured Australia and England at the MCG in March 1877.

Distinguished guests from the cricketing world have been invited to share in this momentous occasion. Among them are former Pakistan captains Zaheer Abbas, Wasim Akram, and Waqar Younis, alongside prominent retired players from various cricketing nations. Cricket Australia plans to present specially crafted souvenirs to attendees as a memento of the celebrations. This event promises to be a significant gathering, honoring the rich history and enduring legacy of Test cricket.
