The Soyuz-5 medium-class carrier rocket, developed by the Progress Rocket and Space Center, has been erected vertically at the Baikonur Spaceport, with its launch anticipated in the near future. Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Bakanov confirmed the completion of development and testing in 2025.
The first launch of the Soyuz-5 is now slated for the end of March 2026, a slight adjustment from earlier plans. This rescheduling allowed for additional comprehensive testing of both onboard systems and ground equipment.
