Italian researchers have claimed to identify massive underground structures beneath the Giza Plateau, which they believe could be a hidden twin monument.
Filippo Biondi stated that satellite radar technology detected a large structure concealed beneath a mound of hardened sand. Preliminary scans show vertical shafts and passageways similar to those found beneath the original Sphinx, suggesting an extensive underground complex. Researchers believe a precise geometrical correlation, a mirrored alignment from the pyramids, points to this buried location.
The Dream Stele, erected by Pharaoh Thutmose IV around 1401 BC, was intended to legitimize his rule. However, researchers now propose the depiction of two sphinx figures might have been a literal clue to the monuments' layout, not merely symbolic. They are preparing formal plans to seek permission from Egyptian authorities to investigate the site further.
