Summary
- Powder activated by electric toothbrush vibrations safely whitens teeth.
- Combines minerals to rebuild enamel while removing stains effectively.
- Reduces harmful bacteria and inflammation, improving oral health.

Researchers have introduced a novel powder designed to whiten teeth safely and effectively, activated by the vibrations of an electric toothbrush. Unlike traditional peroxide-based whiteners that can damage enamel, this experimental powder generates reactive oxygen species only during brushing, minimizing harm.
The innovative compound is formulated with strontium, calcium, and barium titanate, which harness the piezoelectric effect. When vibrated by an electric toothbrush, the powder produces ROS to lift stains and simultaneously uses its mineral components to rebuild and strengthen tooth enamel.
Lab tests demonstrated significant whitening after just four hours, with nearly 50 percent improvement after 12 hours. Beyond aesthetics, the powder aids in repairing enamel and dentin. Animal studies also indicated that daily use helped rebalance the oral microbiome, reducing harmful bacteria and inflammation, pointing to broader oral health benefits.
