Mars Rovers Capture Stunning Images

NASA's robotic missions are providing unprecedented views of Mars, with two active rovers and two orbiters studying the Red Planet. The Perseverance rover, which landed in Jezero Crater in February 2021, has recently summited the crater's steep rim. Its mission focuses on seeking signs of ancient microbial life and remnants from billions of years ago, and it has previously studied phenomena like dust devils.

Meanwhile, the Curiosity rover, exploring Gale Crater since August 2012, is ascending Mount Sharp. This rover is investigating evidence that Mars was once hospitable to life and has discovered previously unseen organic compounds. Orbiting Mars are the Odyssey and Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter spacecraft. Odyssey, launched in 2001, is studying Martian clouds and mapping the surface, while the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, active since 2006, searches for evidence of past water.
