- The pad is essential for Soyuz rocket and crew capsule launches.
- The first launch from the repaired pad is scheduled for March 22.

Repair efforts at a damaged launch pad at the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan have been successfully completed. This facility is indispensable for Russia's space program, particularly for launching Soyuz rockets and their associated crew capsules.
The launch pad, identified as number 31, sustained significant damage in November. This incident occurred during the launch of a Soyuz MS-28 spacecraft carrying two Russian cosmonauts and one NASA astronaut.
Roscosmos has confirmed the completion of the repair work. The first launch utilizing the restored pad is anticipated on March 22. While Russia operates other cosmodromes and Baikonur has alternative launch sites, pad 31 is unique in its capability to handle Soyuz missions and the cargo-only Progress vehicles essential for the International Space Station.
