Cosmonaut Anna Kikina has been appointed as TASS's first female special correspondent, embarking on a mission to report directly from the International Space Station. This unique role will see her become the eighth TASS special correspondent and the first woman to hold this position within the agency's orbital project.
Kikina is slated to travel to the ISS on July 14, 2026, aboard the Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft. She will be accompanied by cosmonaut Pyotr Dubrov and astronaut Anil Menon. This journey will mark her second experience in space.
The TASS bureau on the ISS, established in 2021 through a cooperation memorandum with Roscosmos, allows the agency to receive direct dispatches, photographs, and impressions from space. Previous correspondents include Alexander Misurkin and Oleg Kononenko. Content from these space journalists is disseminated through TASS's website and social media platforms.
