30 Sep
Summary
- Ancient ruins discovered 75 feet below Lake Van surface.
- Site estimated to be at least 11,700 years old.
- Ruins found just 90 miles from purported Noah's Ark location.

Mysterious ruins of a lost city have been discovered beneath the waters of Lake Van in Turkey, with estimates suggesting the site is at least 11,700 years old. Divers recently captured footage of a substantial circular stone structure, an interlocking brick wall, and a causeway approximately 150 feet long.
These underwater findings are located roughly 90 miles from the Durupınar site on Mount Tendürek, a location some researchers associate with Noah's Ark. The ancient stonework suggests a civilization with advanced building capabilities.
While some archaeologists date the ruins to the Urartian or medieval periods, the dive team's geological estimates point to a much older origin. This discovery could represent a small portion of a much larger ancient complex.
The site was initially found by underwater filmmaker Tahsin Ceylan in 2017, but recent expeditions have revealed the full extent of the remarkable stonework.
