On April 16, a new luxury camping experience, Under Canvas Yosemite, opened its doors near the west entrance of California's renowned national park. This marks the brand's debut in California and its 13th U.S. property, providing an upscale outdoor hospitality option for visitors to Yosemite, the state's most popular park.
The camp is situated on 80 acres, a mere 10 minutes from the park's west entrance. It features 71 safari-style tents designed for comfort, complete with plush bedding and quality furnishings. Recognized for its exceptional night sky views, Under Canvas Yosemite recently earned the distinction of being California's first DarkSky Approved resort.
Under Canvas Yosemite promotes an unplugged experience, intentionally omitting Wi-Fi to encourage guests to connect with nature. Amenities include heated tents, private bathrooms with hot running water, showers, and flushing toilets. The resort offers communal spaces for relaxation, lawn games, and nightly s'mores around a campfire.
Dining is available at Embers, the on-site restaurant offering indoor and al fresco seating with locally sourced dishes. Guests can also opt for grab-and-go meals for park excursions. For added convenience, a YARTS bus stop is located directly across from the camp, providing easy access to Yosemite National Park.
The Under Canvas Yosemite property will remain open from April 16 to October 26, 2026. Reservations are currently being accepted for stays within this period. This new location joins other Under Canvas properties situated near iconic national parks across the United States.
