Diplomats' Wives Celebrate Women's Day with Culture!

The spouses of Heads of Mission and Indian diplomats recently convened to honor International Women's Day with a culturally rich celebration. Hosted at the Italian Ambassador's residence, the event was orchestrated by Ester Bartoli, wife of the Italian Ambassador and co-president of the Spouses of Heads of Mission (SHOM). The evening commenced with a captivating Kathak performance, followed by an energetic display from the ambassadors' spouses themselves. Guests then had the opportunity to learn about various sari-draping styles, enriching their understanding of Indian traditions. The festivities concluded with a musical performance, creating a memorable atmosphere. Ester Bartoli emphasized the importance of daily recognition for women, noting that their association organizes diverse activities such as Bollywood dance, cooking classes, and meditation. She highlighted the camaraderie among spouses, who, despite their varied backgrounds, share similar life experiences as partners to ambassadors.
