Buffalo Trace Distillery is launching an immersive summer camp experience for individuals aged 21 and older. The program, taking place on August 29 and September 5, combines classic summer camp fun with hands-on bourbon education.
Attendees will participate in sensory skill tests through blind tastings and trivia competitions focused on the distillery's history. Activities include crafting custom muddlers from barrel staves and a bung-driving relay, simulating traditional barrel preparation techniques.
A special single-barrel challenge will allow participants to age and differentiate bourbon samples. Following the day's events, selected guests can enjoy a luxury overnight camping experience on the distillery grounds.
This glamping setup features air-conditioned canvas tents equipped with mini fridges and plush robes. The sweepstakes to enter opens on July 14 at noon and concludes on July 21. Winners will be chosen randomly for either the day camp or the day camp with overnight luxury camping.
Ninety winners will be selected for the day camp across both dates, each receiving a guest pass. Ten winners will be chosen for the full camp and overnight experience, also receiving a guest pass. Entrants opting for the overnight experience remain eligible for the day camp if not selected for the stay.
