Prince William and Prince George recently embarked on a father-son trip to Spain. The pair attended a Champions League soccer match in Barcelona on Tuesday, November 3, where Aston Villa competed against the local team. Their presence at Spotify Camp Nou was acknowledged by FC Barcelona on social media.
During the match, both William and George were observed in casual attire, with George wearing a hood amidst the rainy weather. Prince William's long-standing support for Aston Villa was previously detailed in a 2015 interview, where he cited a desire for emotional rollercoaster moments and the club's history as reasons for his fandom.
William has instilled his passion for Aston Villa in his children, referring to George as "part of the pride." He also humorously described how he positions his children around the house to influence the team's luck during games.
This trip coincided with George's half-term break from Eton College. The news of their outing follows recent comments from Kate Middleton, who shared her anticipation for all her children to be home together during school holidays, acknowledging that she missed George while he is away at boarding school.
