Whitney Port's surrogacy journey hits setback

Whitney Port has candidly discussed the emotional challenges of her ongoing seven-year surrogacy journey. The former reality star revealed that her second attempt with a gestational carrier recently ended unsuccessfully, as the embryo transfer did not take.

Port and her husband, Tim Rosenman, who welcomed their son Sonny in 2017, have faced five miscarriages since trying for a second child. They currently have two embryos left and intend to attempt another transfer with the same surrogate.

She described the experience as "one of the most trying journeys," admitting that the setback left her overwhelmed. Port also reflected on her "worst-case scenario" of only having one child, expressing gratitude for Sonny while acknowledging potential grief over not having another. She shared that her fertility journey has been ongoing since her first miscarriage after Sonny's birth.

To cope with the emotional ups and downs, Port focuses on her health and well-being, including exercise like tennis. She also prioritizes being honest with her son about the situation, noting his adaptable nature. The process has been emotionally complex, marked by periods of hope, exhaustion, and fear, but Port remains committed to manifesting a positive outcome.
