Ragdoll Cat's 'Anger' Goes Viral on TikTok

A TikTok video of a Ragdoll cat named Tora has captured internet attention for its display of apparent anger. The cat, typically known for its exceptionally calm and floppy nature, exhibits a unique shuffling and thumping behavior in the video. This unexpected demeanor has amused viewers, who have humorously compared Tora's actions to those of an angry skunk or a thumping bunny.

The Ragdoll breed, originating in California in the 1960s, is characterized by its extreme gentleness and tendency to go limp when held, a trait that gave the breed its name. Bred from calm lineages including Persians and Birmans, Ragdolls are known for being affectionate, intelligent, and relaxed companions.

Despite their placid reputation, even the calmest Ragdolls can experience and express emotions. Experts note that Ragdolls are energetic and require companionship, and loneliness can impact their mood. Tora's behavior, while unusual for the breed, is a reminder that all cats have feelings, and they sometimes manifest in distinct ways, like a committed shuffle or a moment of gathering courage before approaching the camera.
