For Walsh, the experience was profoundly emotional. He shared that being airborne again on the nation's 250th birthday was an indescribable feeling. He added that having a fellow veteran like Strickland at the controls made the flight exceptional.
Strickland echoed the sentiment, calling it a privilege to facilitate the flight. He emphasized the importance of honoring pilots like Walsh, whose service forms the bedrock of the nation's military history. He concluded that celebrating freedom by returning Walsh to the skies was a fitting tribute.
