Valerie Bertinelli's Thanksgiving Travels Take Her from Milan to Secaucus

As the 2025 Thanksgiving holiday approaches, celebrity chef Valerie Bertinelli, 65, has shared her unique plans for the occasion. Over the past few years, Bertinelli's Thanksgiving celebrations have become unconventional as she spends the holiday on the road visiting her son, Wolfgang Van Halen, 34, during his Mammoth tour.

In 2021, Bertinelli recalls celebrating Thanksgiving in Milan with her son's band, Alter Bridge. The following year, she was in a different city, though she can't quite remember where. Last year, Bertinelli and her family, including her brother and Wolfgang's wife, found themselves at a Houlihan's restaurant in Secaucus, New Jersey, where they all sat at the bar as the restaurant was full.

This year, Bertinelli expects to be in Kansas City for Thanksgiving, wherever her son's tour takes them. Despite the untraditional settings, she says she loves these Thanksgiving celebrations, as they allow her to spend quality time with her family.

As the holiday season approaches, Bertinelli is looking forward to some much-needed downtime in December, as well as continuing her work on The Drew Barrymore Show and preparing for the March 2026 release of her memoir, "Getting Naked," which will feature a stripped-down cover of the celebrity chef.
