This was followed by another record on September 10, 2023, where he stayed motionless in 11-foot-deep water for 1 hour and 2 minutes, recognized by both Asia and India Book of Records.
Further demonstrating his unique abilities, Akhre performed underwater yoga for 2 minutes and 30 seconds on July 21, 2024. On Independence Day in 2024, he showcased exceptional breath control by staying underwater for 90 seconds while holding the national flag. These achievements highlight his discipline and innovation.
Before his record-breaking yoga endeavors, Akhre played a vital role in public safety. From 2012 to 2019, he participated in flood control and search-and-rescue operations, during which he successfully recovered 78 bodies and rescued 55 marooned individuals. His dedication was recently acknowledged by senior Amravati police officers on the eve of International Yoga Day.
