Brockwell Lido in south London has been awarded the title of the UK's best outdoor pool in the AA's latest "Lido League" study. The analysis evaluated 160 locations across the country.
Pools were scored on factors including Google search popularity, customer review scores, and social media engagement. Costs such as entry fees and parking, alongside local sunshine and temperature data for July, were also considered.
Brockwell Lido, an Art Deco grade II-listed establishment since 1937, was praised for its excellent reviews and social media presence. It features a 50m outdoor swimming pool and health facilities, with a restaurant on site.
Leicester's Stoney Cove, a 13-acre open water swimming lake, secured second place for its diving facilities and watersports. London's Tooting Bec Lido and London Fields Lido followed in third and fourth, respectively.
Clevedon Marine Lake in Somerset completed the top five, noted for its tranquil atmosphere and natural surroundings. The lake offers various activities and is accessible at all times.
