A significant mass wedding ceremony recently took place in Udaipur, uniting 51 couples. This event, organized by the Udaipur-based charitable institution Narayan Seva Sansthan (NSS), notably included individuals from economically weaker sections (EWS) and persons with disabilities. The 45th free mass wedding ceremony, held over two days, saw the participation of philanthropists and social activists.
Among the 51 couples, 25 individuals had disabilities, and 26 belonged to the EWS category. Many of these beneficiaries had previously received crucial support from NSS, including free corrective surgeries, artificial limbs, and rehabilitation services. These interventions enabled them to regain mobility and confidence.
Further empowering the newlyweds, NSS provided essential household items to help them establish their new life together. Donors also contributed traditional gifts, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere. The institution's president emphasized that the mass weddings aim to foster social inclusion and provide equal opportunities.
Narayan Seva Sansthan's commitment extends beyond weddings, encompassing artificial limb distribution, corrective surgeries, skill education, and healthcare support through initiatives like the World of Humanity Foundation.
