Divorced Today Meteorologist Embraces Co-Parenting Journey
5 Nov
Summary
- Meteorologist Dylan Dreyer and ex-husband Brian Fichera divorced months ago
- They have found a "freeing" way to co-parent their 3 children
- Dreyer says they've "reframed" their relationship as friends, not spouses

In November 2025, Today meteorologist Dylan Dreyer shared an intimate look at her journey through divorce and the rewarding path of co-parenting that has followed. Just months after revealing she and her husband Brian Fichera were separating, Dreyer detailed how the breakdown of their marriage ultimately gave them the gift of a new, collaborative approach to raising their three children - Cal (8), Ollie (5), and Rusty (4).
"Everybody has their reasons for what leads to a separation or divorce," Dreyer told co-host Jenna Bush Hager. "But either way, we've gotten to this place. And there's something freeing for Brian and I, where whatever reasons, whatever broke your marriage, you could either fix it if you can, and ideally you would. Or you accept that it's broken, and you take this new step forward."
The meteorologist explained that while they "couldn't fix" the issues in their marriage, she and Fichera have been able to "reframe" their relationship, no longer viewing each other as husband and wife. "Now we have reframed our relationship that we are no longer husband and wife. And all those things that were broken, I don't hold them against you, because we've accepted they're broken that's why we separated. So, now let's move forward as friends."
