A custom-built trailer has been gifted to "naughty" therapy goats, significantly enhancing their ability to bring joy and therapeutic benefits to various community settings. Hensell Goat Rescue Care Farm in Sutton on Sea, Lincolnshire, launched an appeal last year for this specialized transport, successfully raising £4,095. The new trailer is designed to be easily maneuvered and parked, enabling the team to expand their reach.
This initiative addresses the growing demand for animal therapy visits. The East Lindsey Investment Fund, established by East Lowland District Council, contributed £2,000 towards the trailer. Councillor Sarah Devereux highlighted that this upgrade will allow more people to benefit from the goats' valuable therapeutic work, improving overall wellbeing and happiness.
Gillian Henshaw, who runs the farm, expressed overwhelming gratitude for the community's rapid response to the fundraising campaign. She emphasized that the purpose-built trailer is a game-changer, ensuring the friendly and cuddly goats can be transported safely and efficiently to their many admirers.
