The legacy of Eliot Abramson, a high school lacrosse player, is being honored by his family following his death. Abramson passed away six days after being struck in the neck by a lacrosse ball during a college recruiting event on June 1. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.
Abramson's family revealed that he was an organ donor, and his donations have since saved the lives of five individuals. They find comfort in knowing that a part of him lives on, offering others more time with their loved ones.
In addition to his organ donation, Abramson was an active member of the Safe Crossings Youth Advisory Council. This organization supports children and teens navigating grief after losing a loved one. Abramson joined the group after the passing of his father. His family encourages others to honor his memory by registering as organ donors or supporting Safe Crossings.
