23 Dec
Summary
- Tattoo artist donates stuffed animals with every tattoo.
- Campaign aims to give 50 toys to Indigenous children and youth.
- Inspiration stems from artist's childhood experience with a comforting toy.

White Rock-based tattoo artist Taylor Menzies has initiated a touching 'Bear-for-Bear' campaign, connecting her art with community support. For each tattoo she inks of a stuffed animal, Menzies donates a new toy to a non-profit organization.
Menzies is committed to gifting a minimum of 50 stuffed animals to Hope and Health, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of Indigenous children and youth, before the new year. This initiative is rooted in her personal history, recalling the profound comfort a stuffed animal provided her during a traumatic childhood experience.
The campaign extends beyond her personal story, as clients also share meaningful connections to their own stuffed animals, whether they represent children's beloved toys or are mementos of lost loved ones. Menzies views her involvement as a healing process, transforming personal experiences into a source of comfort for others.
