- New this year are Sunday Corgi Races benefiting the Alzheimer's Association.

The Taste Northwest festival is returning to the Puyallup fairgrounds for a weekend of culinary delights and entertainment, marking its fifth anniversary. This summer kick-off event is free to attend and runs from Friday through Sunday, with extended hours on Friday and Saturday. Attendees will discover over 150 food and shopping vendors, offering a diverse range of international and local cuisines. Four stages will feature live music, comedy acts, and chef battles.
This year's festival boasts five distinct bars, including options for craft beer, cider, margaritas, and a rooftop bar. Complementing the food and drink are summer games and the second annual Puyallup Paddle Battle Pickleball tournament. A notable new addition is the Sunday Corgi Races, a first-time event organized in partnership with the Alzheimer's Association. While participation slots are filled, the public is invited to watch the races and donate to the cause.
In addition to the festivities, Taste Northwest is hosting a food drive on Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to benefit the Puyallup Food Bank. Non-perishable, non-expired food donations are welcomed, and contributors will receive a free $6 taste coupon for opening day. The festival's popular $6 tastes, offering smaller plates from all food vendors, remain a central attraction. Information on vendors and event details is available on the fair's website, with parking available on-site for $20 or via neighborhood options.
