Two weeks later, on November 18, 2025, the man rediscovered the ticket and was left speechless when he realized he had won the entire $20 million Oz Lotto jackpot. The winning numbers were 21, 17, 43, 25, 12, 18 and 14, with supplementary numbers 15, 42 and 24.
The lucky winner, who had only occasionally bought Powerball tickets before, said he couldn't believe his good fortune. "I'm sitting here on my bed thinking, 'what the hell is going on?'" he told The Lott. He plans to use the winnings to buy a house and potentially retire.
Chirayu Oza, the owner of Broadway Newsagency where the winning ticket was purchased, was thrilled to have sold the life-changing prize. "When I first heard we'd sold a $20 million Oz Lotto ticket, I felt a good. A happy dose of shock knowing that it would change someone's life for good," he said.
This $20 million Oz Lotto win is the latest in a string of big jackpot payouts in Australia this year. In 2025 so far, there have been 12 division one Oz Lotto winners across the country, collectively taking home over $414 million.
