Summary
- Snowboarder Alex 'Chumpy' Pullin died spearfishing in 2020.
- His father Chris wants to meet his granddaughter, Minnie.
- Ellidy Pullin, Minnie's mother, has reportedly cut contact.

Chris Pullin, father of the late world champion snowboarder Alex 'Chumpy' Pullin, is navigating immense grief and a heart-wrenching estrangement from his only grandchild, Minnie.
Chumpy tragically died in a spearfishing accident on July 8, 2020, at age 32. His father and mother, Chris and Sally Pullin, supported his partner Ellidy in posthumously harvesting Chumpy's sperm. This led to the birth of their daughter, Minnie Alex Pullin, in October 2021 via IVF.
Chris Pullin, who has also since lost his wife Sally to cancer, expressed deep loneliness during an interview. He revealed that Ellidy, Minnie's mother, has reportedly cut off contact. Chris believes this rift began after he raised concerns about the direction of the Chumpy Pullin Foundation, a charity they co-founded.
He desires to be a grandfather to Minnie, who never met her father. Chris shared that Ellidy described Chumpy as being very much like his father, suggesting a strong familial connection that now seems lost. He hopes for a reconciliation to allow Minnie to know her paternal grandfather.
