Slithery Surprise: Snake Crashes Pollo Tropical Drive-Thru in Florida

In a surprising turn of events last month, a Pollo Tropical drive-thru in Homestead, Florida, became the stage for an unexpected reptilian encounter. According to the video footage captured by a fellow customer, Kyrin Salvary, a snake was seen slithering from the grass towards a car waiting in the drive-thru line.

The snake then proceeded to crawl into the engine and attempted to make its way into the customer's vehicle. "It's going up in your car!" Salvary can be heard yelling in the video, alerting the driver to the slithery intruder. Fortunately, the snake was unable to fully enter the car and eventually fell out when the vehicle started moving.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has stated that while there are 44 species of native snakes in the state, only six are venomous. Snakes in Florida are typically considered "harmless" and are often beneficial for reducing rodent populations. However, their occasional presence in urban settings can still catch residents off guard, as evidenced by this unexpected drive-thru encounter.
