- The music room, with its piano and instruments, is the heart of her personal sanctuary.
Shruti Haasan's Mumbai duplex, valued at approximately Rs 15 crore, is located in Andheri and reflects an industrial style with gothic and maximalist touches. She personally oversaw the architectural work, opting for raw concrete walls and polished floors as a deliberate aesthetic choice. This industrial base is then intentionally contrasted with unexpected bursts of color, such as a purple kitchen wall and bright cushions on a teal sofa, mirroring her own eclectic personality.
The heart of the home is its music room, featuring high ceilings and raw walls. This space houses Haasan's piano and musical instruments, where she spends time composing. Surrounding these are personal artistic expressions, including a Sandman mask, vibrant rugs, and colourful lamps, all contributing to an atmosphere of curated rebellion.
A spiral staircase leads to the living area, which is divided into functional zones. Here, the vibrant color palette continues with a green sofa and a mix of patterned cushions. Haasan's design philosophy is simple: if it brings her happiness, it belongs, explaining the eclectic collection of books, anime figurines, disco balls, and even a knife gifted by her father.
She also keeps a figure named Fiona, her alter ego, which originated from an unreleased music video. For Haasan, home is not about geography but an extension of herself, a concept embodied by her uniquely designed Mumbai residence.
