Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has added a Mercedes-Benz G-Class, popularly known as the G-Wagen, to his vehicle collection. This recent acquisition, a G 450d model, was launched in India in 2025 and comes with a price tag exceeding Rs 2.9 crore (ex-showroom). The actor, already a known Mercedes-Benz enthusiast with models like the Maybach GLS and S-Class, has chosen the striking Classic Grey paint for his new G-Wagen.
The Mercedes-Benz G 450d is equipped with a powerful 3.0-litre straight-six turbocharged diesel engine. This powertrain generates 362 bhp and 750 Nm of torque, complemented by a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that offers an additional 20 bhp boost. Power is efficiently managed through a 9-speed torque converter automatic transmission, channeling it to all four wheels for formidable performance.
This rugged SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in a swift 5.8 seconds, with a top speed of 210 km/h. Its off-road prowess is highlighted by a ground clearance of 241 mm and a water wading depth of 700 mm. The G-Class's impressive approach, breakover, and departure angles further underscore its legendary capabilities, making it a sought-after vehicle among celebrities and off-road enthusiasts alike.
