Surveillance footage captured the pup exploring the establishment, navigating under tables and even seeking refuge in a restroom and beneath a dishwasher.
The bar, known for being pet-friendly, initially mistook the pup for a dog. Customers attempted to usher the seal outside, but it proved elusive. Eventually, with the help of a customer who brought a dog crate from home and some strategically placed pizza toppings, the seal was safely contained.
Officials from the Department of Conservation, who had been alerted to the seal's presence, arrived shortly after. They confirmed the pup was well and safely released it onto the nearby Rabbit Island, concluding its brief but memorable pub excursion.
