The situation further intensified in 2024 when both Princess Kate and King Charles were diagnosed with cancer. While the King continues to receive treatment, the Princess of Wales announced she was in remission earlier this year. The family's transition to Forest Lodge, described as their "forever home," provides an opportunity to find stability and solace.
The new residence, located just four miles from their previous abode, allows the Wales family to maintain proximity to Princess Kate's parents, Carole and Michael, who are actively involved in their grandchildren's lives. The move also enables Prince William and Princess Kate to balance their royal duties with parenting responsibilities.
