As of November 12th, 2025, a former RAF member, Dave Pearson, has taken on a new role with Citizens Advice in Grimsby to support veterans transitioning to civilian life. Pearson, who served in the RAF for over 22 years, is now the armed forces lead, tasked with helping people leaving the forces with a range of issues.

Pearson says he has "experienced some of the challenges the veterans are facing" and "knows what they're going through." This firsthand experience allows him to provide tailored assistance to those leaving the military.
