As the leaves begin to turn, a debate has brewed over the proper way to enjoy pumpkin spice lattes. Actress Jodie Sweetin, known for her role in 'Full House,' voiced her strong opinion in a recent interview. She insists that pumpkin spice beverages should only be consumed when the weather calls for sweaters, deeming iced versions an "abomination."
This discussion emerges as major coffee retailers have already unveiled their fall offerings. Starbucks brought back its popular Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) and a variety of other pumpkin-flavored drinks, including iced options, on August 25. Dunkin' followed suit, launching its fall menu on August 19 with its own Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte and new pumpkin-flavored creations.
Dunkin' also embraced a humorous marketing approach, featuring Rachel Dratch as a fictional "Pumpkin Spice" member of the Spice Girls. In their advertisements, Dratch's character explains leaving the iconic music group to focus on latte-related ventures, playing on the widespread popularity of the fall flavor.
