Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently shared intimate details about the challenging period after her daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas was born prematurely via surrogate in January 2022. She described the overwhelming emotional toll and the couple's journey through the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Chopra Jonas recalled the shock of learning Malti would arrive at 27 weeks, detailing the intense NICU stay that lasted nearly 110 days. She spoke of Malti's fragile condition, mentioning multiple blood transfusions and the constant vigilance required.

During this time, Priyanka and Nick Jonas prioritized continuous presence, engaging in skin-to-skin contact and playing calming mantras and songs for their daughter. The couple also faced external pressure, being compelled to announce Malti's birth sooner than they had anticipated.
