Summary
- Princess Eléonore will study Liberal Arts & Sciences at University College Utrecht.
- Her program allows her to design her own curriculum.
- This differs from her older siblings' educational paths.

Princess Eléonore of Belgium, the youngest child of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, has announced her intention to study Liberal Arts & Sciences at University College Utrecht in the Netherlands. This three-year program, commencing in September, will allow the 18-year-old princess to craft her own curriculum by choosing from humanities, social sciences, and sciences, ultimately earning a Bachelor of Science or Arts degree.
This educational choice represents a unique path compared to her older siblings. Crown Princess Elisabeth, the heir apparent, has pursued public policy at Harvard Kennedy School and history and politics at Oxford. Prince Gabriel completed a preparatory course at the National Mathematics & Science College in England and graduated from the Royal Military Academy of Belgium, also studying geopolitics in France. Prince Emmanuel recently graduated from the International School of Brussels after studying business.
Princess Eléonore's academic plans follow her recent tiara debut in June at a state banquet celebrating Japan's visit to Brussels. She wore an 18th birthday present from her parents, a diamond tiara by Belgian jeweler Cooseman. The Belgian royals have a history of significant educational milestones, including King Philippe and Queen Mathilde attending Princess Elisabeth's graduation ceremonies in Boston.
