Princess Anne's Strict Birthday Rule Revealed

Princess Anne recently marked her 76th birthday with a characteristically understated celebration, reportedly following a long-held personal rule. Royal expert Roya Nikkhah explained that the Princess Royal avoids significant celebrations for birthdays ending in five, preferring those ending in zero.

This policy contrasts with her milestone 75th birthday in the previous year. On that occasion, Princess Anne chose to highlight her extensive charitable work, hosting numerous organizations at Buckingham Palace. This event served as a forum for her to understand and support the third sector, which was facing unprecedented challenges.

Her 70th birthday in 2020, which fell on a milestone ending in zero, was spent sailing in Scotland with her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence. Although plans for a larger family gathering were curtailed by pandemic restrictions, the celebration still aligned with her preference for significant zero-ending birthdays.
