Limitless Theme for Pride Houston 2026; Parade Moves to June 6

Pride Houston 365 is gearing up for its 2026 celebrations with the announcement of ten Grand Marshal winners, two of whom are being honored posthumously for their significant contributions to Houston's LGBTQ+ community. The organization's president, Kerry-Ann Morrison, highlighted the honorees' advocacy and service as inspirations for meaningful change.

The 2026 Pride Houston parade is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, a notable shift from its usual late June date. This adjustment is to accommodate the FIFA World Cup later that month. This marks the first time in Pride Houston 365's 48-year history that the parade will commence Pride Month instead of concluding it.

Under the theme 'Limitless,' organizers aim to represent expansion, elevation, and the breaking of boundaries across community, culture, and impact. This theme reflects a forward-looking vision for the LGBTQ+ community and its allies.

Several individuals and an organization were named Grand Marshals, recognizing diverse contributions. Heavy Hitters, an organization promoting body positivity, Mandy Giles, founder of Parents of Trans Youth, public health leader Ashley Barnes, entertainer Flawless Oz, and healthcare entrepreneur Dr. Roy Rivera, Jr. are among the honorees. Distinguished Grand Marshals include community leaders Jack Berger, Brad Pritchett, and posthumously recognized Kennedy Loftin and Carl Han. D'Trique Fitzgerald from Rice Pride is the Trendsetter Grand Marshal.

Selection for Grand Marshal involves community nominations, review by a committee based on service and impact, and public voting. Last year's parade saw an estimated 200,000 attendees, and the 2026 event promises to be a significant celebration. Big Freedia will serve as an official host.
